Learning to Cook at 30
I spent most of my twenties eating out or ordering in. This year, I decided to finally learn to cook properly.
Starting Simple
The key was starting with basics—eggs, rice, simple stir-fries. No fancy recipes, just techniques.
What I’ve Learned
- Mise en place is everything
- Salt early and often
- Let the pan get hot before adding food
- Mistakes are just learning opportunities
Three months in, I can now make a decent meal from whatever’s in the fridge.
